im still pissed off that birds get to spend their days flying about and cats get to sleep for 16 hours a day and im stuck dealing with capitalism and expectations
listen, i’m the first person to think Winston Duke is hot as hell, but people (and i mean nonblack people) have already started to fetishize and hypersexualize him. in one of the videos he made with the BP cast to answer tumblr questions, he says that he realized BP was really resonating with people when the woman sitting behind him at the premiere kept muttering “Jesus jesus jesus yes jesus” during one of his fight scenes.
and in the notes of that video, what are literally all the comments about? “lol it’s not because of the fight scene that she kept saying jesus, that’s because you’re so sexy” “those thighs those lips that’s why she kept saying jesus” etc etc, dozens of comments saying the same stuff.
nobody but that woman knows why exactly she kept repeating “jesus” during that scene, but i find it disturbing that when Winston Duke talks about being touched by the impact his movie has on people, all y’all can talk about is how thick his thighs are and how you wanna sleep with him.
and i’m glad that Winston Duke is getting noticed and is one of the breakout stars of Black Panther, but i wish more people would focus on his amazing acting skills instead of noticing him just because he’s hot and physically fulfills their fetish fantasy of a big, tall, “physically intimidating” black guy.
What looks like an image from a surreal apocalyptic movie is actually the apartment complex left behind from the former fishing village of Kirovsky. Located in Russian Kamchatka Krai, the former fishing community is now completely abandoned, left open to the forces of nature.

There is a specific and terrifying difference between “never were” monsters and “are not anymore” monsters
“The thing that was not a deer” implies a creature which mimics a deer but imperfectly and the details which are wrong are what makes it terrifying
“The thing that was not a deer anymore” on the other hand implies a thing that USED to be a deer before it was somehow mutated, possessed, parasitically controlled or reanimated improperly and what makes THAT terrifying is the details that are still right and recognizable poking out of all the wrong and horrible malformations.
hey I totally fucked up and forgot the 3rd type, which is “Is Not Anymore And Maybe Never Was” monsters
“The thing which was no longer a deer and maybe never was” implies a creature that, at first glance, completely appears to be a deer, but over time degrades very slowly until you realize (probably too late) that it is not a deer anymore, and had you seen it in this state first, you wouldn’t have recognized it as a deer at all, and there’s a decent chance that it was never actually a deer to begin with but only a very good mimic, and what makes this one scary is the slow change from everything being right to everything being wrong, happening slowly enough that you don’t even notice it until its too late, as well as the fact that something now so clearly not a deer could have fooled you to begin with.
when you tag something #FSLDMSLNDSSDLKFD and your mutual reblogs it like #text post and you start questioning if it was really that funny in the first place
